We've got several changes and/or additions to highlight for you in 2025: 1) We are now billing for one cleaning at a time. There is still a three-minimum visit requirement for a monthly subscription and 2 minimum visit requirements for quarterly or bi-annual subscriptions -- but we are now only billing for one visit at a time. 2) You will be charged for your subsequent visits 1 week before you are scheduled for visits #2, #3, etc. If, for some reason, the credit card charge is unable to be processed, our system will automatically notify you and ask for updated credit card information. Your spot on the schedule will be reserved until we are out on the route, at which time, if we have not received payment, you'll be removed from being a part of the day's schedule and will remain off the schedule until you re-up your subscription with a new credit card. 3) Any customers who paid for more cleanings than they received in 2024 have been credited the appropriate amount of dollars to their account to be redeemed for 2025 cleanings. We have accounted for 2025 pricing changes for 3+ bins and have credited it appropriately to cover the cleanings you paid for last season. 4) We had a lot of demand for a package less frequent than quarterly, so, we're offering the option for 2x cleanings a year. Depending on the date you sign up for this package, you might only get one cleaning in on your first year. 5) A new, more user-friendly Customer Dashboard with many features: - blocking out dates your bins will be unavailable - easy updating to your plan or canceling it (please don't do that! But if you decide to, we don't want it to be difficult for you to) - seamless refer-a-friend system 6) Pricing that remained as unchanged as we could possibly muster. Our only price change is additional bins 3+ are now $12 per bin for monthly and quarterly plans, $15 for bi-annual plans, and $20 for additional bins for one-time cleans. And a one-time clean is now $90. Being a new business in 2024, we learned much about how much time/money is needed to clean additional bins, and the typical condition of bins on their first clean warranted a more substantial upcharge for one-time cleans. We really did not want to raise any prices, but the viability of our business necessitated this change. With that said, we're so excited to be back for season 2.0, and can't wait to give you lots more chances to Experience the MN Bin Bath Difference.

We feel absolutely blessed by the amazing write up + video Lisa made about us on her super fun Instagram page, 2hungrydaughters . The write up can be seen above. The above original post, here . If you have the need for some fun, yet for the most part not too challenging recipes that are perfect for a busy family, we would whole-heartedly recommend you give her pages a surf. Or if you're a viewer of Twin Cities Live or Minnesota Live, you've likely seen Lisa as a guest on their shows; she makes regular appearances. It was our honor to clean her bins, as well as the bins of several others that live in her neighborhood! Oh, and here's the video 2hungrydaughters produced about us:

As more and more communities are offering organics bins as an option, and even some cities are mandating them, we're here to make sure you're fully equipped to make the most of them. Composting is a fantastic way to reduce waste and enrich the soil, but proper use of your organics bin is key to making the most of this eco-friendly practice. At MN Bin Bath, we’re all about helping you maintain a clean, efficient waste management system. Here are some simple tips to keep your organics bin in top shape and ensure your composting efforts are as effective as possible. 1. Keep It Clean and Dry To minimize odors and pests, it’s important to keep your organics bin clean and dry. Line the bottom with newspaper or a compostable bag to absorb excess moisture. Avoid adding overly wet items, like soups or sauces, directly to the bin. Instead, strain off liquids before disposal. A cleaner, drier bin not only reduces odors but also makes it easier to maintain. 2. Know What to Compost Understanding what can and can’t go into your organics bin is crucial. Accepted items typically include fruit and vegetable scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells, and yard waste like grass clippings and leaves. Avoid adding meat, dairy, or oily foods, as these can attract pests and slow down the composting process. Be sure to check your local guidelines to ensure you’re composting correctly. 3. Cut Down on Contaminants Contamination can spoil a whole batch of compost. Be mindful of removing any non-compostable materials like plastic, metal, or glass from your organics before placing them in the bin. Even small bits of plastic can cause issues, so take a moment to ensure everything you’re adding is compostable. A little extra care goes a long way in producing high-quality compost. 4. Manage the Odor Odor control is essential for a pleasant composting experience. Layering green (wet) and brown (dry) materials helps balance moisture and reduces smells. You can also add a sprinkle of baking soda or a layer of dry leaves on top to help neutralize odors. Keeping the bin closed tightly between uses will further reduce any unpleasant scents and keep pests at bay. 5. Regular Maintenance is Key Like any part of your waste management system, your organics bin benefits from regular maintenance. Rinse out your bin periodically to prevent buildup of residue and odors. If you notice stubborn smells or debris, consider scheduling a professional cleaning with MN Bin Bath. We’ll ensure your bin stays fresh and functional, making composting a breeze. If maggots emerge, fear not; we are experts at eliminating maggots from nasty bins. By following these best practices, you’ll not only improve the efficiency of your composting efforts but also contribute to a cleaner, greener environment. At MN Bin Bath, we’re here to support your sustainability goals with our expert bin cleaning services. Keep those organics bins clean, and happy composting!

Recycling is a crucial part of protecting our environment, but did you know that how you place items in your recycle bin can significantly impact whether they get recycled or end up in the trash? At MN Bin Bath, we care about keeping your bins clean and ensuring that your recycling efforts are as effective as possible. Here's a handy guide to help you recycle more efficiently and contribute to a healthier planet. 1. Clean and Dry is Key One of the most important steps you can take is to ensure your recyclables are clean and dry. Food residue and liquids can contaminate entire loads of recyclables, leading them to be discarded instead of recycled. Before placing items in your bin, give them a quick rinse to remove any leftover food or drink. Allow them to dry before putting them in the bin. This simple step can make a big difference in the quality of recyclables. 2. Avoid Bagging Recyclables While it might seem tidy to bag your recyclables, many recycling facilities do not accept bagged items. Plastic bags can get tangled in machinery, causing delays and damage. Using paper bags from grocery stores can also be problematic, as they can become wet and break apart, contaminating other recyclables. Instead, place your recyclables loose in the bin. If you must use a bag, ensure it is a clear, recyclable one, and check with your local recycling program to see if they accept bagged recyclables. 3. Flatten and Disassemble Maximize the space in your recycle bin and make the recycling process more efficient by flattening cardboard boxes and crushing cans and plastic bottles. This not only saves space but also makes it easier for recycling facilities to handle the materials. Additionally, separate mixed-material items, like plastic lids from cardboard containers, and place them in their respective bins. Keeping materials sorted helps streamline the recycling process. 4. Know What to Recycle It's essential to know what items your local recycling program accepts. Commonly accepted items include paper, cardboard, glass bottles, metal cans, and certain plastics. Items like plastic bags, Styrofoam, and electronics often require special handling and should not be placed in your regular recycling bin. Check with your local waste management authority for specific guidelines to ensure you're recycling correctly. 5. Spread the Word and Stay Informed Effective recycling practices are most impactful when the entire community participates. Share these tips with your neighbors, friends, and family to help increase awareness and improve recycling efforts across your community. Additionally, stay informed about any changes to local recycling programs and guidelines. Many municipalities update their recycling policies regularly and staying up-to-date ensures you're always recycling correctly. We can all contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet by working together and staying educated. At MN Bin Bath, we believe in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment, and part of that commitment includes educating our customers on best recycling practices. Not only will you be helping the environment, but you'll also be contributing to a cleaner, greener community. Happy recycling, and remember to keep those bins clean with MN Bin Bath!

The title of the post says it all. We had a blast cleaning up 53 dirty bins all the way out in Loretto, Minnesota. And we'd love to do your city's bins next. We know the grime, the stink, the maggots and the filth are out there lurking. Lurking in park waste bins. All too apparent at dog parks. Wafts of odor and unsightliness all inside and on the outside of the public garbage bins you come across while enjoying the offerings of your favorite towns and cities. We're here to help. If you work for a city public works, an event with a need, or any type of HOA or complex that has lots of dirty bins to get rectified, give us an email: sales@mnbinbath.com -- and if you don't, but regularly come across disgusting bins in your favorite places to visit, we'd love for you to reach out to your city and suggest they give MN Bin Bath a try!

1 Large Wheel Spinner + ketchup, mustard, maple syrup, chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, spray bottle whipped cream, spray bottle shaving cream = one messy garbage bin. Hundreds of kids got to take a crack at our fun wheel spinner, which decided what messy item they got to use to help make our garbage bin disgusting... Only for us to then clean it up in front of everyone. Honestly, we might have had even more fun than the kids. And we learned a lot and will be making some tweaks for future events we attend. That said, what a great event thrown by the White Bear Lake Police Department at Podvin Park; last Thursday, May 9. We've got lots more events coming up this summer that we'll be participating in, including having a booth some Thursday evenings at Marketfest in downtown White Bear Lake. And plenty of parades around the north metro. Stay tuned! We love meeting you and showing everyone what we do.

The MN Bin Bath team is excited to announce that the first in-person event we will be at with our trailer is a touch-a-truck event in White Bear Lake on Thursday, May 9, from 5-7pm. For the kids, we will let them have fun making garbage bins messy (including a neato spinner-wheel that will determine which messy thing they get to use) and see in person how exactly our lean, mean, grime-fighting machine makes disgusting garbage bins look and smell spotless. This event is sponsored by the White Bear Lake Police Department and is free to attend. They request you bring a food item for donation. Carbones Pizza and water will be available for $2, as well as mini donuts, ice cream, and candy. Located at: Podvin Park 1700 9th St White Bear Lake, MN 55110 Excited to meet you; let's hope for some nice weather!!
